FUNDRAISERS: BROTHER BILL’S HELPING HAND “WILD GAME FOR WEST DALLAS COOKOUT”
Bracy joined a crowd from Dallas-Ft. Worth to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of Brother Bill’s Helping Hand with music, drinks, and, of course, wild game. In addition to Bracy serving as the event’s guest speaker, the fundraiser boasted the music of George Dunham and The Bird Dogs and a dining experience provided by Chef Chad Houser of Cafe Momentum.
ACADEMIC ORGANIZATIONS: KANSAS STATE UNIVERSITY, BACKCOUNTRY HUNTERS & ANGLERS: THE HERITAGE OF HUNTING IN AMERICA
Bracy was invited by KSU’s Backcountry Hunters and Anglers to address the history of hunting in America. His lecture analyzed the historical media of the seventeenth and eighteenth century and drew analogies for the future of the sport. His presentation, “A Squirrel’s Tale: The Squirrel in the History of American Hunting” brought the nimble rodent to the forefront of the conversation. View the discussion here.

Bracy spoke to a local chapter of the Rotary Club about shifts in hunting cultures and hunting-related business in America and he gave a forecast for the future.
Hunting-oriented groups: TEXAS WILDLIFE ASSOCIATION, youth hunt
Bracy joined the volunteers of Texas Wildlife Association as they hosted young hunters and their parents on a Youth Hunt at the award-winning Rocosa Ridge Ranch in Central Texas. Bracy gave an instructional talk to the young hunters and encouraged them to embrace a lifetime of reflective hunting that considered the good of the wildlife as well as the hunting community that supported them.
